A 180W
UHP lamp provides an outstandingly bright light source, and three
0.8" polysilicon liquid crystal panels with built-in microlens
enhance on-screen brightness. The result is the remarkably high brightness
level for a mobile projector of 2,000lm.*
|
|
As well
as Standard mode, Cinema mode for movies and Real mode for graphics,
there are four user-settable gamma correction preset modes, so you
can adjust gradation to suit your preference and screen conditions.
|
 |
 |
 |
Brightness
Adjustable The lamp can be run at approximately 82% of its aximum
brightness in environments where full brightness at a 100% is not
required to deliver a power-saving benefit.
*PLC-XU40 only.
Luminosity of PLC-SU40 is 1,750lm (typical). |

The circuit
automatically detects and extracts the flesh colour portion (including
approximate colours) from the projection source images. Flesh colour
therefore appears much more natural while there is no interference
to other colour portions. |

|
 |
 |
The 3D
AUCC circuit offers ten times the precision of earlier technology
to ensure a more natural-looking picture. |
|
As this
function is activated, contrast automatically adjusts to the best
condition by improving gradations and producing pictures that are
sharper as well as more solid. |

As
well as the 1.2x optical zoom/focus, these projectors feature digital
zoom capabilities that allow you to enlarge a portion of the screen
to up 16 times (surface ratio).
You can also make the screen image smaller, with maximum compression
down to one-half size (surface ratio). Versatile zoom functions allowing
you increased flexibility in set-up. |
|
This function
removes trapezoidal (keystone) image distortions which occur when
the projector is not perfectly perpendicular in relation to the screen,
by up/down keystone correction up to ±20°. |

Mounted
with a short zoom lens for projection of 80" screen images from
a distance of approximately 2.1 meters. Allows big picture presentations
in small conference and seminar rooms. Power zoom/focus functions
are also present enabling picture size and focus adjustments using
the included remote control. |

Note: Digital compression applies only to computer images. |

SANYO has
introduced a revised layout of the optical system, bringing the heat
exhaust grille to the front of the projector and away from your audience.
|
|
Make your
point more effectively by using the laser pointer built into the wireless
remote control unit. An LED shows when the laser is on to prevent
unnecessary use. Moreover, DIP switches inside the controller's battery
compartment enable it to be set for use without the laser pointer
at schools or other situations where you would like to avoid use of
the laser pointer. The controller can also be employed to operate
a maximum of 8 individual projectors.
Note: This is a Class II laser product and can hurt
the eyes. Do not look into the pointer or direct it at other people's
eyes during use. |

One press
of a button gives you a running clock on the display screen, so you
can keep track of time as you speak. This allows you to make the best
use of limited presentation time. |
|
Despite
its compact size and light weight, this top-class projector has a
full range of inputs. The DVI-I port ensures highdefinition input
from a computer. There is also a USB port in addition to the serial
port. And for superior video projection, you get a component input
for direct high-definition signal projection. Equipped with a D-sub
monitor I/O terminal, it can also be easily connected to a desktop
computer. |

At any
time during your presentation, images may be paused and projected
as still images. This is ideal if, for example, you do not want your
audience to see your next slide. |
|
 |
 |
 |
| |
 |
 |
 |
This function
is ideal when you want your audience to focus their attention on you
rather than the screen. You can stop the projector from displaying
images temporarily. |

The aesthetically
pleasing form of these projectors gives you an edge before you even
begin your presentation. The magnesium alloy body is not only lightweight
for enhanced portability but is also easier to recycle. |

SANYO's
Digital Realized Interpolation Technology (DRIT) ensures high-quality
projected images even if input signals differ from the original resolution
of the liquid crystal panels. For these projectors, DRIT ensures superior
projection from SXGA (1,280 x 1,024) to XGA (1,024 x 768) and SVGA
(800 x 600) resolutions for the PLC-XU40 and -SU40, respectively.
This suits not only notebook computers but also desktop computers
too.
Note: Some picture information may be lost in digital
compression. |
